Inactive projects and employees

Projects and employees (further referred as objects) can have one of the following status in the application: active or inactive. If one of the imported objects becomes unnecessary (or obsolete, or irrelevant), it may be marked as inactive and excluded from the analysis. Unlike hidden objects, the inactive object mark is valid for all application modes and is saved even after the ProjectsProfiler is closed (until it will be unmarked by the user.

Inactive objects have the following features:

they are not displayed in the diagrams and on the navigation panel (unless a special flag for them is set, see below);
they are not refreshed by the Refresh button.

Inactive employees have the following features:

they are not displayed in the diagrams and on the navigation panel (unless a special flag for them is set, see below);
total workload of a project with inactive employees doesn't change, but it is assumed that no employees are assigned  (занятость — часть работы, выполняемая конкретным сотрудником)  to the corresponding jobs in such a project.

To make objects inactive:

1. Select one or several objects on the navigation panel (to select several objects hold <Ctrl> key).
2. Right-click on one of the selected objects and choose in the context menu Status - Inactive.

You can switch an object into inactive in the object's (project or employee) property window as well.

To display inactive objects (projects, employees) on the diagrams and the navigation panel: check the box Inactive projects and/or Inactive employees at the lower part of the navigation panel. The names of inactive objects will be displayed in italics.
